Greetings family, 

I regret to inform you that Dauphine Martin passed away on September 9, 2024. The Public Viewing will occur on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Byas Funeral Home. The Homegoing Service for Dauphine will start at noon on Saturday, September 14, 2024. It will be held at Calvary M.B. Church in Renova, MS. 

Please keep the family in your prayers. 

As many of you know our mom, Alice Smith Risby passed away Sunday, January 7.  The visitation with the family will be Friday,  at First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill, January 12 at 5:00 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m.  We thank each of you for all of your messages of condolences we have received, and hope to respond to them in the near future.

Some of you are aware that since I retired as pastor of First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill December 31, 2023, we were planning to have a retirement brunch on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. The brunch is still on schedule.  If you are coming to town and wish to attend the brunch too, please click on this link.  Deadline to purchase tickets and reserve your seat at the brunch is Monday, January 8, 2024.
